Introducing our 2nd Grade Team!

chernigoBrittany Chernigo

I graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education. I attended Wilkes University where I received my master’s degree in classroom technology. This is my 9th year of teaching and my 3rd year at New Holland. I’ve worked as a learning support teacher, Title I support teacher, and regular education teacher during this time spanning the grades of K – 5. Every experience has taught me something new, and I greatly enjoy being able to share that with my current students and their families. My goal is to create a safe environment where kids want to learn and develop a love for learning.

I really enjoy being active, especially running. I’ve run a marathon with my father and hope to soon run my first half marathon. I enjoy spreading my love of running and empowering young ladies by coaching Girls on the Run at New Holland. I love taking my dog for walks (or rather him dragging me). His name is Te’o, and he is a lab-beagle mix whose energy never stops. My husband and I are excited to be welcoming our first child in the spring. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
