I am excited to be the librarian at New Holland Elementary! It is quite a change from Garden Spot where I had been the middle school and high school librarian since the fall of 2000. At Garden Spot, I also taught an Information Literacy Class, a Communications Course, and a Research Course, and worked with the Middle School ELANCO Online students. At New Holland, I have enjoyed working with the students and have appreciated their enthusiasm and love of reading. I enjoyed doing the Book Fair for the first time! It was great seeing students excited about the Fair, and I enjoyed meeting so many parents who helped out and came to shop.
I graduated from West Virginia University and worked in a variety of careers before going back to school and earning my Masters in Library Science from Kutztown University. When I am not at New Holland, I enjoy reading, hiking, biking, and playing with my two cats. Whenever we can, my husband and I go to Virginia to see our two-year-old granddaughter.
